Description: Cycles Tinazzi was founded in Marseille in 1976 by the cycling brothers Tenazzi. The brothers were born in Algeria into an Italian family and later moved to France.
When ambitous Marcel Tinazzi decided to turn professional with Team Flandria Velda of the legendary Jean de Gribaldy in 1977, sweet success did not take long to kick in:
the same year, Tinazzi was able to win the French National Championships!
From then on the top class bikes of Cycles Tinazzi proudly sported the label 'Champion de France'. Just like our Tinazzi Alan from 1981. b
At the end of the 1970s and the begin of the 1980s, new technical developments poured into the cycling market. Two of these developments were Aluminium framesets, another one were aerodynamically optimised groupsets. Both of which can be found on our bike.
The frameset for our Tinazzi comes from the Italian experts Alan, Alan was founded in Italy by Falconi Lodovico in 1972. The name Alan is a composition of the names of his son ALberto and his daughter ANnamaria - and also stands for ALuminium ANodised.
Alan collected such an expertise on the field of quality aluminium and carbon fiber frames, that many other brands simply bought frames from Alan and had them re-branded. Colnago might be the most famous one.
The Alan frames were particularly successful when it got rough and muddy. Their cyclocross bikes won no less than 20 (sic!) world championship titles. A series without comparison.
As for the parts on this Tinazzi Alan, we can find a Shimano 600 ax groupset, which comes with iconic ax delta brakes and the revolutionary dyna-drive ax crankset, which allowed for a lower seat position.
This Tenazzi is fit for everyday cycling, weekend jaunts or a tough Eroica California ride. »See Details
