Here we present a true masterpiece. This classic is a part of bicycle history. It was made by Rabeneick, the German manufacturer from Brackwede. Rabeneick produced hand-made bicycles between the 1930s and the 1960s, which were indeed well-known for their quality and durability. This exemplar though is one of the most special ones. It is a Rabeneick Model 120 "Campagnolo".
Tullio Campagnolo and August Rabeneick had their first encounter at some cycling event in the early 1950s. Both were about the same age and shared the same idea of quality bicycles and parts. Eventually they became friends.
In 1956 Rabeneick got the rights to use the Name Campagnolo for his professional top-model that got a complete Campagnolo-outfit.
The frame of this model was built from high-class Libellula or Reynolds tubes and painted in an early version of the Cromovelato technique.
Our bike is from approximately 1958 and equipped with some of the best parts you could get at that time: Universal brakes, Campagnolo Record and Gran-Sport Components and the famous Ambrosio Record Assoluto Vittorie stem! Even the details like the Rabeneick branded air pump are on spot
A fiery racer, an excellent 1950s piece of cycling history and glory. In a condition hardly to be found anywhere else.
Used. The bike is in good condition. The frame has no dents or cracks and is not bent. Paintwork and decals are original. All parts are working fine.
