Mino Denti Master Classic Eroica Road Bike 1980s
- Manufacturer: Mino Denti
- Size: 53 cm
Giacomino 'Mino' Denti was one of a whole pack of talented Italian road racers of the 1960s. He was already a successful rider with a world championship in the team time trial and 90 other won races to his palmares when he finally turned professional in 1967. During his short professional carreer he rode for the most famous italian teams: Salvarani, Faema, Scic. Due to his supportive role, he did not have the opportunity to collect to many victories and after a massive crash in the Giro of 1970 he continued to be active as a palmy 'directeur sportif'.
And almost inevitably a brand with his bikes was established afterwards with its home in Brescia.
Denti bikes are usually very elegant and captivating builds and always top notch. Many models share a certain fondness of bent or crimped seat stays, which brings distributes the weight of the rider more into the direction of the rear axle for perfect power transmission. - Just like on our Mino Denti Master Classic Road Bike.
But the 'crashed' seat tube is not the only ingenuity concerning the frame. Top and down tube both show a pair of crimps on each tube end. This usually was thought to make the whole frame a bit more rigid.
The rear brake cable is routed internally and the seat stays are formed out into an aerodynamic shape.
The fine slim unicrown fork carries a ladybug on its shoulders. The small insect was the mascot of Mono Denti's family and subsequently became the trademark of his bicycle brand.
As for the parts, a top class Campagnolo Super Record groupset is simply a must for a machine as advanced like this one.
Checked and ready to go for many more rides - or should we say flights - be it Eroica or a weekend jaunt. »See Details
