  • Description:

Do you remember the epic 1952 Tour de France picture of Coppi and Bartali passing a water bottle? If you look closer you also see a man popping out from a convertible team car behind them. That is exactly Umberto Marnati, mechanic of Fausto Coppi in the 1950s, later frame builder at Legnano and Bianchi Reparto Corse.

Having learnt lacing wheels and welding at a very young age, Umberto Marnati decided to start manufacturing bicycles under his name. And eventually he opened his own atelier in Milan - later run by his son Daniele from the 1970s on - a city with a tradition of excellent frame builders.
And Mr. Marnati was no exception. Via Delfico no. 26 soon became a meeting point of enthusiasts who were keen to ride artisan racing frames which were largely renowned for unique attention to details.

Our Marnati perfectly shows how beautiful Marnati bikes were.

On the technical side, this Marnati Record is equipped with a full shifting which would be good enough for a full-grown racing bike, let alone a sports bike.

If you are looking for a truly hand-crafted vintage bike, do not miss the chance to make this Marnati yours! Suitable for Eroica events and showing the neighbours who has the most refined taste in your street.
