In 1997, for the last time before aluminium took over, Gios equipped the team Kelme with a high-tech steel bike. It was a special version of the legendary compact model, built with tig-welded Dedacciai tubes which were specifically produced for Gios.
It was outfitted with the newest Campagnolo parts, the 1997 Record Titanium 9-speed shifting. You can easily say it was as good as a steel bike could get back then.
And here is one of them. An actual spare bike of the pro team, a Team Kelme Gios Compact, and it has been refurbished by Gios Torino themselves!
The sensational compact geometry, the top notch frame and a fabulous groupset. More than enough to make you want to go out and conquer some Pyrenees passes.
This is one of the most advanced classic steel bikes and certainly a source of pure joy for everyone who is lucky enough to ride it.
Maybe you are the lucky one?
Used. The bike is in excellent condition. The frame has no dent, no cracks and is not bent. Paintwork and decals are refurbished by Gios Torino. Two very small paintchips under the downtube. All parts are working perfectly.
