Frejus Simplex Antique Road Bicycle 1949
- Manufacturer: Frejus
- Size: 59 cm
Frejus Simplex Antique Road Bicycle 1949 Frejus is a brand which really embodies the most prestigious Italian heritage.
Founded in 1896 by Emmo Ghelfi in Turin, the company was subsequently acquired by Emilio Bozzi - owner of Legnano. Truly handcrafted and equipped just with the best components, Frejus bikes led a young Gino Bartali to his first victories in the 1930s. And were the choice of many international champions over several decades
Frejus bicycles have also always been highly valuated amongst collectors from all over the world. This vintage Frejus has survived many decades and - despite its roughly 57 years - is in good shape. In order to preserve its authenticity we went for a light refurbishment and kept the original components. In this case it means a whole bunch of original Legnano parts and a shifting by Simplex which was - how exotical - made in Italy!
Great bikes in original condition like this one are certainly desireable for anybody from avid collectors to people with a soft spot for great aesthetics and authentic machines.
You should not expect to get a second chance in your life to get hold of the same model in this condition. It is not likely. There is one chance and it is this. »See Details
