Colnago Nuovo Mexico Frameset 1983
- Manufacturer: Colnago
- Size: 53 cm
One of the most iconic bikes which left the famous factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy), the Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate the 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record. The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike
the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff!
The next step in its evolution became the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and continued until the year 1984 with minor differences. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top and down tube.
This Colnago Mexico dates back to 1983 and is a very last version with four crimps at the downtube (previous models had only two crimps), which has been built for a very short time before the Colnago Master was introduced in 1984. Professionally refurbished, this superb racing machine is ready to be built into your dream machine.
