Here we offer you a Colnago Master Post Modern Steel Road Bike. It is based on a Master frame from the 1980s and it certainly is nice to have an exemplar in as real good condition as this one is in, to build such a bike.
The very first generation of the Colnago Master was released in 1984, the same year in which Giuseppe Saronni won the Giro d'Italia - riding a Colnago Master, of course. And to this day you can still buy a variation of the Master from Colnago.
In the beginning the frame was meant to be an improvement of the Mexico which had been Colnago's top model before. It had completely different lugs and a drastically changed tubing.
Any cyclist out there dreamed to own a Master, just like any avid collector nowadays has one in his collection. The frame truly an "evergreen". The tubing - "Columbus Gilco Design - Profilo S4" - has profiled sections and was specifically designed by Gilberto Colombo to improve the stiffness and to better withstand mechanical strain.
The master had a huge impact on the cycling scene and became the most winning rod bike model in the following years.
It is the perfect frame for a neo-retro setup. We equipped it with a complete Campagnolo Potenza 11-speed groupset, which brings this bike to a completely new level of performance. Otherwise the parts are just the best, too. So the look of the bike stays very classy and no carbon fiber distracts the look of the observer. Here everything is just finest steel and aluminium.
To be able to ride this giant, you should be at least 195cm tall, a bit bigger would be better. A large top class steel frame with new parts and a great Campagnolo 11-speed groupset. This is great in every possible sense of the word.
