Giovanni Pelizzoli – nicknamed "Ciöcc", which in the dialect from Bergamo means spike or nail – is well known worldwide thanks to his Ciöcc bikes, which he manufactured from 1969 to 1980. Monuments like the San Cristobal and Mockba left his workshop in northern Italy and soon became widely esteemed for a particular attention to details and meticulous craftsmanship. As a frame designer he was responsible for Olympic podium bikes and successful pro team machines.
When in 1977 the U23 world championships in San Cristobal were won on a Ciöcc frame, Pelizzoli started to baptize his top road bike after the City in Venezuela.
Our bike here is one of those bikes that in 1977 earned this name. And it is a nice one with shiny chromed lugs and refurbished in rather classy mat black paint.
Regarding the components mounted, there is a Campagnolo Record groupset in nice condition. To complete the bike, some exquisite components have been chosen - lightweight wheels with mint lightweight Mavic CX18 rims and butted spokes or NOS yellow Benotto tape.
The bicycle has been fully checked in our workshop and it is therefore ready to roll.»See Details
