Unmistakable. Italian in name, Italian in heritage and Italian in design. The famous heart logo is instantly recognisable as the symbol of De Rosa for any cyclist. Ugo De Rosa started building frames in the 1950s in Milan; by 1958, his skills were so renowned that Raphael Géminiani asked him to build a racing bike for the Giro d’Italia. Following on from this, Ugo began to sponsor whole teams, and in the 1960s and 1970s the De Rosa brand became famous when champions like Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser rode to victory on custom steel frames, embossed with the iconic heart.
If you're looking for a classic bicycle that is the height of style, craftsmanship and passion, you won't find anything better than a De Rosa. Ugo insisted he would never equip his frames with anything except Campagnolo parts. Therefore, in order to keep such bicycles as authentic as possible and to provide a unique riding experience, our De Rosa bicycles are predominantly equipped with Campagnolo Super Record, C-Record or Record components. We have had some fine examples of Ugo’s legacy in our workshop, and we continue to see unique bicycles bearing the heart logo that yearn to be ridden.
De Rosa Record Strada - The Strada Record was one of the most sought-after bicycles of the 1970s. Constructed using Columbus SL steel tubes and equipped with the best parts of its time – always Campagnolo – it was designed with the victories of Merckx and Moser in mind.
De Rosa Super Prestige - The De Rosa Super Prestige is typical of the quality that came from the factory of Cusano Milanino in the 1970s. The predecessor of the SLX Professional, the Super Prestige was made of light and stiff Columbus SL tubes, which made for a dream-like ride.
De Rosa Professional SLX - Manufactured by the master frame builder Ugo De Rosa, the Professional is absolute a must-have for any collector. The frame was made of extremely light Columbus SLX tubes and featured the iconic "diamante" chainstays.
De Rosa Primato - Featuring Columbus EL tubes, the Primato was one of the finest De Rosa models to appear during the 90s. It was such a success, De Rosa renewed it’s legacy with the Neo Primato in the late 2000s.
