What if you want to build artisan bikes but your name is Bianchi, what are you going to do, in a country in which it is the tradition, to give your brand your own name?
Well you go for next easiest solution and just add your first name. So did Amelio Bianchi and might have felt relieved that his parents did not baptise him Edoardo.
Amelio set up a small bike shop with frame building in the small town of Marnate, north west of Milan.
His bikes are very nicely executed pieces with a lot of attention to detail to them.
Just like our Amelio Bianchi Artisan Road Bike from the 1980s.
The frame is made from light and strong Columbus SL tubes, which are connected by lightened lugs with detailed cutouts. The fork and dropouts are chromed, which looks particularly nice.
As for the groupset, it could not be any thing else than a Campagnolo Record one.
All parts have been checked and partly replaced. The wheelset is a freshly laced one which uses slightly wider rims - designed trimmed and eligible for the rough Strade Bianche of Eroica races. »See Details
Used. The bike is in very good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. Paintwork and decals are original with minor flaws. All parts have been checked and are working fine.
